Green Business Solutions Conference

Postponed until Autumn 2009

The Softworld Team had planned to introduced the Green Business Solutions Conference to Softworld Autumn 2008. When we decided to launch the conference, it seemed that the climate change bill would serve as a strong imperative for UK business to sit up and take notice of green thinking, and that this would indeed begin to influence the evaluation of business software.

However, this legislation is still making its way through parliament and is now not expected to become law until the end of the year. This coupled with the global financial crisis has meant that interest has fallen away.

We strongly believe that software will become a major enabler for businesses to prosper in a low carbon economy and we remain committed to running the Green Business Solutions Conference at Softworld, but now believe that this will be more appropriate in autumn 2009.
